Testimonials
"Having recovered from White Line Disease the summer before, it became necessary to keep our Thoroughbred gelding's hooves as dry as possible. This can be a difficult feat in the summer, with the heat, humidity and frequent trips to the wash rack. Yet within a couple of weeks of using Don Tritz's drying mat we saw a noticeable improvement in our horse's seemingly perpetual soggy frogs. It was simple enough to have Crete, a sort of "problem child", to stand on the drying mat. We'd offer him some hay to munch on and he'd stand quietly for 10 minutes. After a few days, he even began anticipating his time on the drying mat!"

I am a client of Don Tritz. I have used the hoof drier on a regular basis One of the main reasons I have used it has been to dry out the chronic thrush problem in one of my older horses. He is 23yrs old and has chronic thrush and white line [disease].
After using the hoof dryer for 10 minutes a day for 6 weeks on front and hind feet, the thrush was gone and the frog healed completely over. I have found that if I use the hoof dryer just once a week, it keeps his feet dry and the thrush gone.
I also use the [Hoof Doc] to dry feet out after bathing my horses. It keeps the moisture out of their hooves and their feet stay hard and their shoes stay on.
I would recommend that all farriers carry a hoof dryer with them and show their clients how easy it is to use and how fast they will see results. I will continue to use mine on a regular basis to maintain my horses' hooves to the highest standard. I hope that many other horse owners will take advantage of this great product to promote healthy feet for all their horses.
Sincerely,

The [Hoof Doc] has been used successfully to dry the horse's hoof. It is used before and after any veterinary procedure to aid in drying the hoof. The hoof dryer works well after shockwave therapy to dry out the hoof so the shoe and pad can be put on a dry foot. It is also used to aid in the drying of the hoof before and after medication has been placed on the hoof.
It works well in conjunction with medication for the treatment of thrush. It helps in hoof repairs also. If the hoof is wet or "waterlogged" the hoof wall repairs will not stick and repair will fail. The hoof dryer allows you to repair the hoof wall with a dry foot. One needs to continue using the hoof dryer daily to keep the wall repair dry especially if the horse is getting bathed daily.
The hoof dryer can be used on normal horses feet if they are in a lot of water or getting bathed daily to keep the feet from getting too soft. By doing this you keep a normal hoof.

I have been a practicing equine veterinarian for thirty years and have known Don Tritz personally and profesionally for almost the entire time that I have been in practice. I respect Don as a farrier and believe him to be at the top of his profession. In fact he is the farrier for my personal horses, my wife's training and show barn of Hunters and Jumpers and does specialized farrier work for several of my clients at my clinic.
Leave it to Donnie to come up with a hoof drying apparatus, like no other, to dry the hoof. The proper drying of the hoof has benefits in respects to medicating and conditioning. The hoof can gain full benefits of medications and conditioners applied, as penetration and absorption is enhanced on a foot with proper moisture balance. Chronic White Line and thrush are two hoof ailments that could benefit from the "Hoof Doc". My wife is using one in her barn right now, just to condition and keep "normal" moisture in the show horses' hooves, as constant bathing causes most horses' feet to be far too moist. "Hoof Doc" is [the] easiest and and most efficient method of drying their feet.

In the last thirty years I have been involved in the equine industry. I have been a full time farrier for the last 15 years.
The Hoof Doc hoof dryer is what the industry needs and has needed for many years. Every horse breed can benefit from this product. Cattle and sheep would, also, benefit from hoof drying with the Hoof Doc.
Dog groomers and show dog trainers would find this product to their liking. They could use the Hoof Doc for drying their dogs' coats.
The fact that the Hoof Doc is quiet and safe will make it appealing to everyone.
Sincerely,
Jay Larkin
